Unit 4: This unit will review the colors, numbers, and body parts. Vocabulary learned, reviewed, and used will be: los ojos, las orejas, la boca, la nariz, abre, cierra, tiene, tiene hambre, la naranja, el queso, toma, la leche, el agua, la cabeza, el brazo, la pierna, and number words 11-20.
Students will hear little stories (mini-cuentos) in Spanish; see the Spanish vocabulary written; read the Spanish vocabulary out loud; act out their understanding of the Spanish vocabulary; and write sentences little stories in Spanish.

Cuento Numero Dos: "Coyote y Cuervo"-
Coyote and Crow are characters from the storytelling of the Navajo Indians in the American Southwest.Coyote is similiar to Brer Fox in American storytelling. Coyote is a bit lazy and is always trying to play tricks on the other animals. But these tricks generally backfire on him. Coyote is also often seen as a little bit stupid. There are many, many stories about Coyote and the trouble he gets into. "Coyote and Crow" is just one of the them.

Students will hear the Spanish vocabulary spoken and demonstrated; they will see the Spanish vocabulary written; they will act out their understanding of the vocabulary; and they will write Spanish sentences and little stories using the vocabulary.
