My airport isn’t working…

1. click the airport icon at the top of your screen and turn it off, wait a few seconds, then click and turn it back on

2. restart your computer


My keyboard isn't working...

1. gently press key down

2. go system preferences-speech-text to speech-set key- change the key if it is similar to what is there...ctrl+s is suggested

3. DO NOT POP YOUR KEYS OFF

My mouse isn't working...

1. close your laptop screen and open it back up

2. restart your computer

My computer or a program is frozen...

1. hold option+apple+esc

2. choose the program from the list (or "Finder" if it is not just one specific program) and force quit/relaunch

My computer is having power or other issues...

1. reset the PRAM by turning your computer off, and then pressing the power button to turn it back on...as soon as you hear the startup chime press and hold option+apple+p+r until you hear the chime again

2. reset the PMU by holding ctrl+option+shift and power (NOT “fn” key) at the same time for several seconds...you will need to reset the time and date


I am having trouble printing...

1. stop the job and restart it

2. delete the job and try again

3. delete the job, turn off your airport, wait a few seconds, turn your airport back on, and try again

4. restart your laptop

There are funny symbols in my Word document...

1. go to view-toolbars-standard

2. click the paragraph (show/hide) button
